Architecturally and historically, there are not many places to visit in Jamaica. The most basic cultural attractions are located in Spanish Town. This town was the capital of the state until 1872. Its architecture includes both English and Spanish buildings. St. James’ Cathedral is the oldest unique English church built far outside of the UK. In the central town square you should visit the huge shopping complex and the Royal Palace.

In Jamaica, all tourists are offered to travel to natural attractions. For example, in the west of Jamaica there is a limestone plateau of Cockpit Country, where there is a large number of caves. Caves are also present near Port Antonio (Jackson Bay).

The Green Grottoes caves on the coast between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios are quite popular. Their distance is 1525 meters. Here you can see stalagmites, stalactites and underground lakes. In the old days they were used by the Arawaks as a shelter.

Excursions to the Blue Mountains are very interesting. Here you can hike or bike through the national park or to the coffee plantations and factory Jablum, where the famous Jamaican coffee Blue Mountain is made.

The resort of Negril, is a place called Appleton, which is known as the most basic place for the production of Jamaican rum. There are many excursions to the local wineries! Not far from Negril you should visit the extraordinary Mayfield Falls. It is a complex of 22 picturesque waterfalls, under each of which you are allowed to swim, and there is also a large number of underwater caves.

Ocho Rios Resort is a waterfall located on the Danse River. In the rainforest, water flowing down stone terraces from a height of 185 meters forms cool lakes. This waterfall is quite shallow and it is possible to climb directly on the terraces to the very top, from where you will have a view of the beautiful surroundings.

From all the tourist centers of Jamaica there are trips to coffee and banana plantations, as well as sugar cane plantations. Coming here will familiarize you with all the peculiarities of growing the main crops of the country.
