Navy Island's beaches, a short boat ride away from Port Antonio, are closed to the public temporarily. Yet, this beach is a great haven for visitors who wish the remain somewhat secluded yet have convenient amenities at hand for added comfort. The boat shuttle runs all night and day, beautiful beaches and prime snorkeling line the shores, and a few restaurants and hotels are available for guests of the island.

But, if you're interested in a more active beach, you might enjoy people watching at Naggo Head. It's found 25.6 miles to the southwest.

You may also enjoy San San Beach, which can be found 2.5 miles away from Boston Bay. $8(USD) will get you into this private beach that is perfect for snorkeling and enjoying the warm, shallow waters in this protected area. Near Frenchman's Cove, the atmosphere is more upscale and Princess Island, across the way, is an easy swim to a secluded island. A lunch bar and equipment rentals round out a fun beach day at San San Beach.

Boston Bay might not make your top beaches list, but if you don't want to visit this beach, you'll find plenty of other choices in Jamaica.
