On the A4 between Manchioneal (to the south) and Port Antonio (to the northwest) is where you'll find a short dirt road making a circle which extends right up to the beach.

Of course, there is also a restaurant located right on-site. There are many types of dining experiences to be had in Jamaica, but eating at the beach can be especially enjoyable. Ask your hotel about picnic lunches, as some hotels offer to pack snacks for their guests' day trips. Otherwise, street vendors and casual walk-up eateries will have take-out dishes you can bring to the beach.
The concession stand at this spot is also an option. You may also have the option to order some food from one of the local vendors who typically set up at this spot.
Those who wish to eat lunch here will enjoy having access to picnic tables.
Keep in mind that restrooms won't be found on-site, which is something to consider if you plan to spend a full day in the sun. You'll find the waters off-shore to be fit for snorkeling, so bring your equipment if you're hoping to see what lies beneath the surface. Apart from the tourists and guests to the island, locals come out to sell their jerk meals to the public and hang out on the beach. A good mix of people keep this beach somewhat crowded.

Boston Bay is close to, so walking the city is a definite option. Port Antonio is nearby and is an area with plenty to do, but yet isn't overcrowded. From the beach, Port Antonio is a little ways off, maybe eight and a half miles (13 and a half kilometers) away.
The popularity of this spot on any given day can vary, depending on everything from the time of day to how full nearby hotel rooms are. The beach is not located close to many large hotels, but it's sometimes enjoyed by guests staying at the few small lodgings in the area.
